The Iron County School District is proposing to increase its property tax revenue. A public hearing will be held at 6 p.m. on August 19 in the boardroom at 2077 W. Royal Hunte Drive.
The tax on a $431,000 residence would increase from $630.08 to $699.77, which is $69.69 per year.
If the proposed budget is approved, the district would receive an additional $2,465,071 in property tax revenue per year as a result of the tax increase. The district would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 10.62% above last year.
