Join us in giving a shout out to our own Crystal Shakespeare who was recently named the USNA School Nurse of the Year.
School nurses are among the Education Support Professionals who keep our schools running.
In Crystal's nomination it states: "Crystal has such an amazing amount of compassion for everybody that she comes in contact with and is incredibly caring. You won’t find a better nurse."
Despite working full time as a school nurse, Crystal continues to work PRN for the local Emergency Department so that she can stay abreast of nursing skills.
She is an advocate for school nurses and through working with others has helped establish a school nurse or health aide in almost every Iron County School District school. Congratulations Crystal!
