We will be having a title one math night for families to learn about our school goal in math, learn about an essential standard in your child's grade, and participate in a take home activity to support the standard. Our Halloween Parade will take place on Tuesday, Oct 31 from 1:30-2:30 (will likely take much less time). Parade route will start on the north blacktop, go north on 500 West, turn west on 400 North, turn back toward the school on 600 West, then be done at the flagpole. The police will block off all traffic with cones, etc. Drivers will still have access to the parking lots on the east and west of the building. Costumes must conform to the following requirements: The costume must adhere to student dress standards of modesty---covering the shoulders, midriff, back, chest, and legs properly. No weapons—not even toy ones as it violates our safe school policy. It must not interfere with the child’s ability to learn (for example, too big to sit at a desk, itchy makeup, etc). If they have an inflated one please make sure they know how to get in and out of it for the parade, as they can not wear it in the classroom. We hope you are able to join us and sit or stand around the block to see your child. Have a fun and safe Halloween!
The lost and found will be donated on Monday. If you have a chance to go through it at the Harvest festival tonight, that would be great! It is located just outside of the office doors. Thank you
STEM Harvest Festival at North Elementary is this Friday, October 27th. It starts at 5pm.

A phone call from a child who is crying can stir up all kinds of emotions for a parent. Scammers are playing on that vulnerability and calls targeting parents are on the rise. Reports of parents receiving such calls have been reported at some of our elementary schools.
If you receive a call like this during the school day, please do the following:
* Call dispatch at 435-586-2955 and report the phone call.
* Call your child’s school to reassure yourself that your child is OK.
* Do not give the caller personal identifying information by speaking your child’s name.
* Stay calm.
* Keep your social media settings on private so scammers do not have access to information about your children.
