North Elementary proudly recognized two STAR students from each K–5 classroom during our first Polar Bear of the Month assembly of the year! These students were celebrated for demonstrating STAR behavior—being Safe, Trustworthy, Aware, and Respectful. We loved cheering on our hardworking polar bears and celebrating their accomplishments together.

North Elementary would like to thank our wonderful teachers and families for taking the time to meet during fall Parent-Teacher Conferences. It’s always such a special opportunity to celebrate the great things our students are learning and to work together to support their growth and success.
North Elementary welcomed the Department of Public Safety for their annual service project. Twelve officers and employees volunteered in classrooms, joined small groups for literacy and math activities, played at recess, and ate lunch with students. It was a wonderful experience for both our students and the DPS team, and we appreciate each of them for taking time out of their day to connect with our Polar Bears!

Hello parents/guardians,

Get those walking shoes ready! Wednesday, Oct. 8 is Walk & Roll to School Day! Elementary schools are participating in a variety of ways. Students who live close enough to their elementary school are invited to walk, bike or scooter to school after reviewing safety routes and safety tips. Students who typically bus will be invited to participate in a "walking bus." The transportation department has identified a drop-off point near the school where students will be invited to walk to school, escorted by PTA or PTO volunteers. Students can choose not to participate. Please check your Remind messages about specific instructions for your school.

Once at school, students can meet with city dignitaries, including law enforcement and firefighters. Granola bars and stickers will be available for students. Thank you for helping us remind students how to be safe citizens.

North Elementary Parents,

We are deeply grateful for the incredible effort you put into raising money for our school! Thanks to your efforts and generosity, we raised an amazing $14,366. We know that the way FundHub collects donations places much of the responsibility on parents, and we want to give you a huge shout-out for stepping up and making this possible.

The money we have collected will support students and teachers, fund school improvements, and make special events and opportunities possible. Your collections and donations help to make North Elementary not only a wonderful place for our children to learn and grow, but also a supportive and positive place for teachers to work.

Thank you for showing up for our school community in such a big way—we couldn’t have done it without you!

With gratitude,

North Elementary PTA
