Canyon View Middle School

Percussion students at CVMS had the incredible opportunity to attend a master class with the renowned drummer and educator, Mike Mixtaki. The focus of the session was on learning and executing complex Afrocuban rhythms. In math, 6th graders applied their knowledge of measurement, ratios, proportions, and scale factors to make large versions of their favorite candy bar wrappers. It sure was a sweet way to learn!
