7th graders at Canyon View Middle School had a chance to learn about government during a field trip to the courthouse this week. CVMS also hosted a Math Counts competition Thursday, November 6th in which students competed against Gateway Preparatory Academy, Kanab Elementary, Kanab Middle School, Lewis Academy, and Red Hills Middle School. Students competed in Sprint, Target, and Team rounds to test their math problem solving skills. Canyon View Middle School had 3 teams in the Top 5, and 3 students in the Top 10. The students in the Top 10 were Chris Levie in 9th place, Owen Bealer in 7th place, and Jacob Peterson in 3rd place. We're so proud of our Cougars!
