CMS had an amazing first week of school! On the first day, we were greeted by several SUU cheerleaders and football players and our very own CMS Student Council. Students seemed excited to meet their teachers and classmates.
On August 15th, we had a Back to School Bash sponsored by Student Council. It was a fun experience and the theme was Back to the 80s. They played a fun mix of 80s and modern songs that we all liked. They played Never Gonna Give You Up, Call Me Maybe, and other songs.
August 18 to the 22nd was Spirit Week. Students had the option to dress up to a particular theme. On Monday, we dressed up in our best couch potato outfits. On Tuesday, we had our best country outfits. On Wednesday, we dressed up in school colors. On Thursday, we twinned with somebody. On Friday, we dressed as either babies or elderly people. We used this week to represent Warriors and what we believe in, especially during school color day.
CMS had a great welcome assembly on August 20th. Student Council and Hope Squad did a great job putting the assembly together for the whole school to come and see. They had the symphonic band playing some awesome songs all throughout the assembly. They did a great job playing the song YMCA. During the assembly Hope Squad and Student Council put on a fashion show contest using crepe and toilet paper, had a plunger race and played musical chairs while the band played. We got to watch teachers and students participate in these activities.
